Monolytics Assistant: your site’s analyst

Monolytics Assistant is your site’s analyst. Ask about visitor journeys, errors, business flows, or missing data in your own words. Assistant uses your site’s collected activity and business context, and keeps the answer’s scope, sources, and limitations visible.

Inspect the supporting evidence and choose your team’s next step.

Start with the question you actually have

Useful starting questions include:

  • “Where do visitors get stuck on mobile?”
  • “Which paths do visitors take before reaching our signup page?”
  • “What errors appear in our checkout?”
  • “How do the observed journeys differ between these supported segments?”
  • “Do we collect enough data to measure completed signups?”
  • “Which event, Survey, or Record Campaign would help us investigate this?”

Assistant states the scope and assumptions it uses and asks for clarification when it needs it. A broad question may lead to a partial answer when your installation does not collect the necessary signal. That is useful information about the next investigation, rather than a reason to invent a result.

Build an understanding of your business together

A page view means more when you know what the page is for. Assistant builds context from your pages, events, and observed behavior. You can confirm or correct your product goals, page names, and recurring user jobs.

Keep an interpretation and a confirmed fact distinct. Repeated behavior may suggest what visitors are trying to do, but a replay alone does not prove a person’s motive. Observed content exposure creates an opportunity to read; it does not prove that someone read or understood it. Your business context helps interpret the evidence without erasing those boundaries.

Inspect the answer and the visit behind it

For a measured answer, check the unit, period, scope, and sources. A browser client is not a verified person. A tracked visitor session, stored recording, and analyzed record are different measures. Clicking a signup link is different from completing signup.

When an answer points to an error or friction signal in a visit, inspect the relevant recording at the supporting moment. Review representative sessions and successful paths before deciding what a pattern means. A technical signal and its demonstrated effect on a visitor remain different kinds of evidence.

Not every answer is a numerical finding. Assistant can also explain Monolytics features, help you understand collection state, or work with your confirmed business context.

Ask what is missing and what to collect next

Suppose you observe clicks on “Start free” but do not collect a signup-completion event. Those clicks cannot establish a signup-completion rate. Assistant keeps the observed result and the missing signal separate, rather than turning missing evidence into zero.

Ask how to close the gap. An event or property can measure an outcome; a Website Survey can ask a contextual question; a Record Campaign can collect a focused set of matching records. Choose the tool that can actually observe the question, then configure and verify the collection.

Understand the question allowance

Assistant is available on the Free, Growth, and Pro plans.

Assistant question allowances are shared by the account for each domain and reset at UTC calendar month and day boundaries. A question counts when the Assistant delivers a measured or documented answer. Failed or undelivered requests return their reserved question. Service safeguards also apply.

The pricing page lists the current plan allowances alongside the separate tracked visitor session and Record Campaign collection terms. A question allowance is not a recording allowance.

Keep the decision with your team

Use the answer to choose a follow-up question, better instrumentation, a targeted Survey, or a product change. Your team checks the evidence and carries out the action. An interpretation is a starting point for investigation, not proof of causality or business impact.
